jennifer rock williams

owner/director

Jenny Williams was first introduced to the performing arts at a very young age and it has been a major part of her life ever since. She studied at various dance studios across the state throughout her life. She has been trained in creative movement, ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical and tumbling and has had many performing opportunities. She has taken college level classes in both modern and tap that she advanced in quickly and enjoyed thoroughly. She was offered her first teaching job at the age of 18 and has taught many dancers of ALL ages ranging from 2 to 50, both in and out of state. She has choreographed numerous dance routines that were performed on the stage as well as competed and awarded at state wide competitions.

One of the most rewarding experiences of her career was the year she spent in Bemidji, Minnesota where she taught at a local studio. She was asked to take on and teach the majority of the beginning/intermediate classes and she got to work side by side with the owner/director of the studio whom she became close with and learned a lot about how a studio should run and how dancers should be treated.

Jenny has had many great mentors and teachers who have inspired her over the years, and in turn, she has had many opportunities to share her love for the art of dance with so many great aspiring dancers. She gets a huge amount of satisfaction from it and looks forward to many more years of dance ahead.

She want's nothing more than to help cultivate and strengthen each dancer's passion and desire to excel in what moves them! She wants each one to be successful in achieving their personal goals, and believes that this is possible by providing them with a an "uplifting" atmosphere for learning that will encourage, inspire and promote greatness in them, only when it is combined with structure, discipline, quality instruction, team unity and proper studio etiquette.

Jenny and her husband Thayne, live in Cedar City. Together they are managers of a popular off campus, student housing apartment complex of over 250 tenants. Jenny has had a dream of owning and becoming the Artistic Director of her own dance studio for a few years now and she is is fully committed to maintaining the vision, professionalism and overall quality found at Gravity Dance Center…because your dancer deserves more than just the best!
